How to import a bank CSV into Quicken

Quicken can't import a bank's CSV into a checking, savings or credit card account. Convert it to QFX first — the Web Connect format Quicken is built around.

Steps

  1. Drop your CSV into Bankfold, check the columns and preview, set the account type, and download QFX.
  2. Quicken for Windows: File → File Import → Web Connect (.QFX) File. Quicken for Mac: File → Import → Bank or Brokerage File (OFX, QFX).
  3. Link the download to your existing account when asked, then accept the transactions.

If Quicken refuses the file

Quicken checks the financial-institution ID in the file. If you see an error about the institution, open QuickBooks Desktop / Quicken options in Bankfold and set INTU.BID to your bank's ID, then convert again.
