How to import a bank statement CSV into Xero

Easiest: OFX

1. Convert your bank export with Bankfold and download OFX.
2. In Xero open Accounting → Bank accounts, choose the account, then Manage account → Import a statement.
3. Upload the OFX file and import. Xero skips transactions it has already imported from statement files.

Using Xero's CSV template

Bankfold's CSV (Xero) download uses Xero's precoded columns (*Date, *Amount, Payee, Description, Reference, Check Number), so the column-mapping step is quick. Choose a date style that matches your Xero organisation's region.
